Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.

Last updated September 2026Version 2026-09

Draft for legal review. This text isn't final and isn't in effect yet. The published version will replace it before Hoss opens to patients.

Our commitment

Hoss should work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, magnification or captions. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA across the website, the assistant, the patient portal and video visits.

What we do

  • Build with semantic structure, labeled form fields and visible focus, so everything works by keyboard and screen reader.
  • Check color contrast against WCAG AA, and never rely on color alone to show meaning.
  • Size touch targets for phones, respect your reduced-motion setting, and let you pause moving content.
  • Test with assistive technology before major releases.

Known limits

  • Live video depends on your device's camera, microphone and connection. If video doesn't work for you, you can switch to audio during a visit.
  • Some third-party screens, such as payment checkout, are provided by our partners. We choose partners that support accessibility.

Tell us about a barrier

If something on Hoss doesn't work for you, email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened, and how to reach you. We'll reply within two business days and work with you on an alternative while we fix it.

Formal complaints

You can also contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights. People in the European Union can contact their national enforcement body under the European Accessibility Act.
